Formats in the current picker
Open a survey and choose Add new question. The live dashboard currently shows eight formats. Select the format first, then configure the fields offered for that question.
Choose by the answer you need
Welcome message: introduce the survey or provide context without asking for input.
Single choice: ask for one preference, reason, or category.
Multi choice: allow several applicable answers.
Short text: collect a brief free-text answer.
Long text: give customers room to explain an experience.
Rating scale: compare answers on a five- or ten-point scale.
NPS: ask likelihood to recommend on a zero-to-ten scale.
Likert: measure agreement with a statement on a five-point scale.
What about ranking and dates?
The underlying survey API and SDK also support Ranking and Date. Those two formats are not currently in the dashboard’s Add new question picker. If you need them, use the developer documentation for API authoring; do not look for a hidden dashboard toggle.
Make questions easier to answer
Use one idea per question. Keep choices distinct and make the difference between single and multiple selection clear. Use a welcome message for context instead of repeating a long introduction on every question. Test the longest label on a mobile preview before publishing.
