Decide what you want to learn
A survey is useful when one answer needs context. For a trip-planning product, you might ask what a customer wants to do next and which improvement would help. Keep each question tied to a decision you can make.
Build the flow
Open Surveys and choose New survey. You can also browse Templates for a starting point.
Select a question in the left rail to edit it. Choose Add new question to add another format.
Write the title and configure its choices, placeholder, or scale. Use Required only where an answer is essential.
Review the order in the question rail. Start with easy questions and put open-ended questions later.
Walk through the preview as a respondent. Check the back and submit actions and the final thank-you screen.
Review design and delivery
Use Design to match your app and check the available platform previews. In Target, choose the audience, trigger, and frequency limits. A survey that asks several questions should not appear repeatedly during the same task.
Before publishing
Read every choice for ambiguity and remove questions whose answers you will not use. Test the survey in a connected product with a test identity. Confirm the responses appear under the correct survey. Previewing alone does not generate real results or prove that your delivery settings match a user.
